ABOUT US
Galaxy Netball Club Mackay was established in 2015. Galaxy Netball Club Mackay is affiliated with Mackay Netball Association. The founding members hoped to start with at least 3 teams but were overwhelmed to enter 16 teams into the competition in the 2016 competition.
It was not until 2019 that Galaxy Netball entered our first Premier League team, Supernovas. 2019 saw numerous Grand final appearances and wins including Premier League in our first ever season. This was followed by another Premiership in 2020 and Runners up in 2021 and 2022.
In 2023 Galaxy entered a record number of teams into the Mackay Netball Competition – 28. Our under 10 Modifieds teams grew to 5, junior teams in every division from 12D to 16A with a total of 13 junior teams and Seniors (including Premier League) with 10 teams. 2023 was a successful year for Galaxy both on and off the Court. Off Court we raised over $2,000.00 for Breast Cancer awareness and on Court we were Grand Final Winners in Premier League (Supernovas), Division 3 (Neutrons), 16A (Eclipse), 16B (Cosmos), 16(C) Zodiacs and 12A Blazers. We had many teams making it through to the semifinals and then Grand Finals. We at Galaxy pride ourselves on our culture, amazing volunteers and giving back to our members by providing sponsored merchandise for every team member and clinics to upskill players, coaches and umpires. Galaxy are also proud of our male netballers and keen to encourage more boys to play netball.

If you want to meet a team that go above and beyond, all for the betterment of the club, you need to meet our Executive of Galaxy Netball Club. Kelly, Jordan, Jenny, and Allison have made Galaxy the pride and joy of all their wonderful teams and players. This incredible executive team have grown young girls into ladies through fantastic leadership and exemplary attitudes. It is the contributions from this amazing team, in combination with the support and efforts from players and supporters that makes Galaxy Netball great! The enthusiasm that is passed on from team member to player, and the dedication of all involved makes us who we are, since day one. Our energy is infectious and it’s here to stay!
